About

My work has consistently sat between disciplines.

I am primarily a Systems & Electronics Engineer, with enough software and embedded depth to understand and own the interfaces where complex systems most often fail.

ElectronicsFirmwareCommunicationDiagnosticsValidation

The complete system is the unit of work.

Electronics rarely fails in isolation. A sensor value may be shaped by the analogue interface, sampling strategy, embedded conversion, network timing, diagnostic state or the assumptions made by another controller. I work by following that chain.

That perspective has been developed through work spanning electrified vehicles and battery systems, BMS, CAN/UDS diagnostics, sensing, embedded integration, IoT gateways and requirements-led validation.

I am at my best when a project is technically messy: the interfaces are unclear, evidence is fragmented, or the problem has been passed between disciplines. I establish how the system is intended to work, instrument what it actually does and create a practical route forward.

Engineering principles

01

Understand before changing

Build a reliable model of the system, its constraints and evidence.

02

Measure at the boundaries

Interfaces reveal where intended and actual behaviour diverge.

03

Make decisions traceable

Record requirements, assumptions, trade-offs and validation evidence.

04

Own the outcome

Stay with the problem across discipline boundaries until it is understood.

Explore further

Engineering is clearest when the whole system is visible.

This portfolio brings together the systems thinking, technical depth and engineering evidence behind the work.
